President

A co-founder of Network Technologies, Tom is a technology visionary. He is constantly reviewing and researching new developments in the IT world. Tom's commitment to staying ahead of the knowledge curve keeps Network Technologies in the forefront of Kansas City service providers. This drive, in turn, challenges his employees to continue to think outside the box in providing customized and effective solutions.

Tom's efforts have led Network Technologies from its beginnings two decades ago as a valued added reseller to its current position as a leading managed service provider. His leadership provides the foundation from which the company has been built.

Tom spends his downtime enjoying camping and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He is an active member of the 151st Street Church of Christ and serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for Ghana West Africa Missions (www.gwam.org).


Tim Wayland

Vice President

One of the founders of Network Technologies, Tim oversees all aspects of the company's operations. His 30 years of experience in technology coupled with his business acumen has allowed Network Technologies to successfully navigate the sometimes treacherous economic landscape for two decades.

Tim's passion for excellent, complete, fast customer service has been a foundation of our company's credo since the beginning. His sincere insistence on doing what is right for our clients underpins our entire company culture. It's this philosophy that has allowed us to become one of the most well respected and trusted service providers in the area.

When not working, Tim enjoys spending time with family, golfing and travelling. Tim is also an active member at 151st Street Church of Christ, serving in a leadership role.


David Bentley

Dave is a natural leader. After spending four years in the Marine Corps and getting a Masters of Management degree from Troy State University, he joined Network Technologies where he has successfully overseen the delivery of services to our clients for over a decade.

Dave's unflinching desire to do right by our customer is reflected in his department's success in providing rock solid customer care and support. Under his guidance, our engineering staff has become synonymous with quality, honesty and integrity. Our 98% customer retention rate is due, in no small part, to his efforts.

Dave enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.


Troy Robinson

Implementations Manager

Troy's attention to detail and determination to get things done correctly the first time makes him one of the finest people to work with in the industry. His military experience coupled with over 15 years in the IT world give him the discipline and knowledge to work efficiently and effectively on all projects.

The amount of energy Troy brings to projects, large and small alike is infectious and reflects in his teams' attitude and our client's high regard for our company's professionalism. His process driven approach ensures that no detail is overlooked.

When away from the office, Troy spends time with his wife and three children. He is an avid golfer and video game enthusiast.


Matt Cortner

Senior Support Engineer

Matt has been in the IT industry for over ten years and uses his knowledge of systems and his customer service skills to manage the support department here at Network Technologies. Matt has covered all aspects of the IT industry from desktop maintenance to system overhauls as well as building his work history from desktop technician to owner of his own IT business. He manages the support team by offering his knowledge to readily assist in the troubleshooting process.

Matt is able to think outside the box and provide an encompassing effort to troubleshooting issues. He enjoys being able to help our customers reach a resolution and is constantly striving to make our processes better to offer the most efficient support possible to our clients.

Matt and his wife Sarah are constantly busy with their three children and all the family and sporting activities of the Cortner family. He enjoys coaching and watching the many sporting activities of his kids. He is also an avid Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC fan.


Gigi Rice

Service Coordinator

Gigi is a natural at organization and coordination. She acquired those skills during the 10 years she was an office manager at an Orthodontist office in Kansas. She manages the schedules of each engineer at Network Technologies to make sure the tickets are up to date and the techs are working as efficiently as possible. She assists in the organization and structure of the office as a whole as well.

Gigi is always ready for a challenge. She is typically a part of anything we are testing in house with regards to our monitoring and dispatch software. Be it an addition to what is currently in place, or going outside the box to find a resolve, Gigi solves problems!

Gigi and her fiancé enjoy being outdoors and partaking in any activity that will take them outside. She often travels to different parts of the Kansas, Texas and Illinois to visit relatives, family and friends, and enjoys being with family. She has two Siberian huskies, Dax and Domina of whom she refers as her fuzzy children.


Cindy Ross

Operations Manager

Cindy oversees the entirety of Network Technologies administrative department. Her commitment to precision and accuracy assures the prompt and correct delivery of orders and paperwork both internally and to our clients. Cindy has a drive to provide the best customer experience possible not only with service but also with post-service administrative assistance.

Cindy is also an integral part of Network Technologies' Microsoft Gold Certification as a Certified Microsoft Licensing Expert. Her knowledge of technology, both hardware and software, is an integral part of the complete client experience at Network Technologies.

Cindy likes to spend time with her two children, watching them compete in a variety of sports and activities, and is a Sporting KC season ticket holder.


Dan O’Boyle

Virtual Chief Information Officer

Dan brings over 25 years of technology experience to his role as our client's vCIO. As a former business owner himself, Dan thrives on merging technology with business processes. Not only does he have a deep understanding of current technology, he also has the money sense to understand the pressures of properly aligning technology theory with real-world practicality.

Dan keeps current with the constantly changing currents of technology by attending a number of conventions and consistently attending forward thinking seminars. His enthusiasm for helping our clients get the most benefit out of their technology is a reflection of his desire to see people succeed.

Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, photography, camping and fishing. Dan is also heavily involved in Kansas City's Irish community being a current board member for the Kansas City Irish Fest and past president of Celtic Fringe; a charitable fund-raising organization.

Tom brings big enterprise experience to Network Technologies. Before starting at Network Technologies he worked for 12 years at a large international pharmaceutical research firm where he served in various IT management and project management positions. His focus is on developing and implementing IT governance, processes, and procedures to drive business efficiency. Network Technologies customer base greatly benefits from his process driven strategic approach.

Tom appreciates the value of training and makes time each day to work through a module or two of an online course. He also is a member of ISACA which keeps him up to date on the latest in IT governance and assurance. The integration of technology and business processes deliver the results businesses expect of their technology investments.

Outside of Network Technologies Tom enjoys free time with his family and as an active member of the Prince of Peace parish in Olathe, Kansas. Tom’s hobbies include fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and travel to the Caribbean.


Chris Robertson

Virtual Chief Information Officer

Chris has over 20 years of technical experience in LAN, Security, backup and recovery, compliance, archiving, and virtualization projects. He's worked in customer service for companies like Novell, Symantec and Hewlett Packard. His time and experience with some of the leading companies in IT, gives him an excellent foundation to efficiently guide our clients.

Chris enjoys keeping up with current technology trends and is constantly evaluating new technology. He approaches new technology with a "does this make sense" and "how does this impact the bottom line" approach. This approach is always well received by his clients.

When he's not working, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and is active in the St. Peter's parish in Kansas City, Missouri. His hobbies include canoeing, fishing, skiing as well as travel.


Shelby Helms

Cabling and Telephony Manager

Shelby has overseen the success of the Cabling and Telephony division since its infancy. His attention to detail in both the design and execution of a project is second to none. Shelby's leadership and strong commitment to getting the job done correctly the first time has helped his division become one of the most respected of its kind in the Kansas City area.

While holding the official title of Master Electrician, its Shelby's ability to see a project from a high level and immediately begin to deduce the finer points of the design that separates him from his peers. His proclivity to meticulousness reflects some of the best that Network Technologies has to offer.

Shelby enjoys time with his wife and three girls, dune buggy adventures, and living as a handyman for all.


Brandon Holley

If there is one thing that defines Brandon in his consultant role, it's his understanding that he's really in a people business, not a technology business. He is a devoted advocate for the improvement of business processes and using technology that makes sense. Brandon helps customers realize the potential productivity of their current staff, when the proper technology solutions are in place.

Brandon's commitment to his clients is uncompromising and he is often that lonely person on the extra mile. He is constantly striving to refine our understanding of the merger of business processes, technology, and employee productivity.

Brandon, a former Army Cadet and Division I football player, likes to spend time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys church activities, board games, and is a newly converted paintball addict.
